Have you been thinking about joining the ranks of the Proud Neighbors of Collingswood? The volunteer organization strives to educate and share ideas about restoration by working with residents, businesses, and the borough to maintain the historic character of Collingswood.
On Sunday, May 17. 2015 the Proud Neighbors of Collingswood will host it’s highly anticipated Home and Garden tour highlighting homes on Virginia Avenue. (You don’t have to own a historic home to participate. Homes on the tour reflect a variety of housing styles and architecture while others have a decorator’s flair or a cozy, colorful ambiance).
This year, Proud Neighbors of Collingswood is hoping to have between 8 and 10 homes on tour. Along with the tour, the event will feature local musicians and artists, mini home improvement talks, and tastings by local restaurants. In order to make this year’s tour a success, Proud Neighbors is seeking the participation of local restaurateurs, musicians, artists, and interior designers.
The Proud Neighbors are also searching for gardens to feature on the tour, tour greeters, open porches for refreshments, and dessert bakers.
To participate, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Sam at 419-8199 or Bunny at 215-806-4907 to discuss.
Proceeds from Proud Neighbors events are used to promote awareness about historic preservation in Collingswood
